Guess who's back, back again

So the Publix fail discouraged me a little from couponing for about three days.

Then I recovered. We've had several successful shopping outings since then, but my favorite lately has been a recent trip we took to WalMart.

I guess before I go into detail about the trip, I should point out that we try very hard not to be hoarders. We try to buy about 6 weeks worth of most food items, if we can. I will buy extras of things like detergent and personal products, though. We have enough laundry detergent so that we don't have to buy it for a while. I think that's cool. When we get low, we'll buy some more.

We got 10 travel size tubes of toothpaste for free and the Spic and Span bottles were $.47 a piece. And we got a large bottle of brown mustard for $.62!

Grand Total: $3.40; Amount Saved: $12.85

I don't mind having a ton of the toothpaste because they're small and we won't have to buy toothpaste for a while. Same with the cleaner. I don't have any excuses not to clean the kitchen anymore!

This was a fun little shopping trip that we took just to see what we could get. It ended up going well and we got some really useful stuff.

Publix tonight. Don't know how that will go, but I'm looking forward to it!
